about

It has taken me way too many years to finally record some of my personal stuff. This album was recorded mostly by myself at home and then mixed by Chris Tuijtel at his home studio. I really hope you enjoy! Thank you for listening.

Track Name: Honey Girl
Well my baby Honey Girl
You've left me twisted for some time
Cause what you've been searching to find is strange to me
Well stop your silly looking cause you've
Already found me

Well I tried she loves me not
And I tried she loves me too
But every flower I tried
Always points me to you
So surprise my baby
I guess fate helped me find you

Well I know that times have been tough
And times been leaving you tired
It's so hard being all you can be
But I'm here to help you out girl
Cause you gave so much
When you found me

So close your eyes babe
And come with me yes
Hold my hand and
I'll help you see
Cause what you've been missing
Ain't no mystery to me
Just take the ride girl
Cause with me it's free

It's those little things
So little that you can't see
That bind us together
Forever in eternity
If you keep this up my baby
I ain't letting go
Till 2033

Track Name: Killing Uneasy Days
The days seem much longer now
They blend together more than ever
It ain't easy coming down
And it's gonna get worse before it gets better

Get up from another sleepless night
Daydream it's all together
It's gotta work out sometime
Cause it just can't
Be like this forever

Killing the time in this smoke
Hugging the room like a sweater
And the weight of the day
Makes it all fall away
But the moon seems as light
As a feather

Uneasy rides got to stop
Emotions forfeit to the weather
Not knowing if today is for real or fake
Makes the road ahead a disaster

The days seem much longer now
They blend together more than ever
It ain't easy coming down
And it's gonna get worse before it gets better
It's gonna get worse before it gets better
It's gonna get worse before it gets better

Track Name: Born to be Blue
I guess I was born to be blue
I guess I wasn't made for truce
I've tried it all but it's just no use
I guess I was born to be blue

Should I work for minimum wage
And live fun
Or make a mill
Joining the union
Just enough bills and change
To get this day done
Oh Lord show me the sun

Grew up in T dot
As they say
Moved to the country
And that's where I began to change
I saw there's more to life
Than nice clothes and fancy cars
It's how you live
And who you are

I guess I was born to be blue
I guess I wasn't made for truce
I've tried it all but it's just no use
I guess I was born to be blue

Track Name: Summer Slowly
This summer's slowly fading away
I guess a bit too quick
The cold is coming
Maybe it's best not to break away
And look
At what I'm missing
Cause I'll
Just make it up when I wake up
I guess it's time
To put my mind to steel strings a bit a green
My words should draw the line

I found out
That all I know is a lie
Opened up
And all I see is you crying
Trying to figure
Out what's wrong with you
Why won't you let your hair down
Let it down for me

I heard your name
Just the other day
And since then it's
All I seem to hear
But why now
It affects me just the same I'm unsure
Maybe I still hold you near
But how
I thought that I put you out
I can't think
About this now
I slumber off and dream
And all I see
Is you and her

Yeah you were right
She's got her mothers eyes
You lose your breath
Just every time that she smiles
My only wish
Is that she could also be mine
Maybe next time
Cause I know why

Words and music by Nathan Peebles
Track Name: 1 Cent Magenta
This is a song about Vernon Vaughan
A Scottish boy in Demerara Guyana
The 12 year old as truth be told
Had just become a stamp collector
One day in 1873 while searching through his uncles attic
Vernon came upon an octagon
Printed on magenta paper
Sold it to N.R. McKinnon
For a dollar and fifty cents
This is one letter that won't be returned to sender
The 1 Cent Magenta

McKinnon in 1877 sold his entire collection
To Thomas Ridpath from Liverpool
For about ten thousand
The magenta stayed with him
Till the turn of the century
Then along came Philipp la Renotiere von Ferrary
But his dreams of sharing it with the world
Came to a sudden end
When the war sent a split right down the centre
Between the world and the magenta

Arthur Hind an upholstery giant
Snatched it up for 300K
When it was auctioned off by the French
And brought to the US of A
The media crews spread the news
And they saw it on display yeah
But like it's life and all other times
The stamp wasn't long to stay
When Hind was gone
His widow moved it on
To a man named Frederick Small
Small paid a 500 thou or greater
For the 1 Cent Magenta

In 69 Small thought it was time
To pass the stamp along again
With the help of Robert A. Siegel
The 1 Cent went up for auction
They started the bill at about a mill
And in a minute and a half
With a sharp whack from the gavel
The stamp now worth 4 times that
Irwin Weinberg and his team of investors
Showed it around the world
Trying to make the price inflate yeah
For the 1 Cent Magenta

A decade past value shot up fast
Exactly like they wanted
They got all their investments back
And even made a profit
Their plan worked well but it was time to sell
Of course they wanted a lot
It was 1980 all music was crazy
The buyers name was John du Pont
John killed a man
In an argument
His name was David Shultz
Richest man ever on the stand yeah
And owner of the magenta

This is where our story stays
And I hope I've entertained you
To this day the stamps locked away
Somewhere in Pennsylvania
I hope some day if I get my way
I'll get to gaze upon her
The rarest stamp of them all
The 1 Cent Magenta

Track Name: Only One For Me
Your heart is mine now
There ain't no hiding
Cause I'm going to find you
Wherever you may stay
Just from that night girl
The first time I saw you
It was so easy for me to see
That I'm the right one for you
And you're the only one for me

Well I ain't gonna buy you flowers
Or stand in line for a chance
I won't let your Voodoo powers
Leave my mind in a trance
Lord knows that ain't the way it's gonna be
Cause I'm the right one for you
And you're the only one for me

Well I didn't even get her number
The rum punched me in the head
Just when I thought I'd won it all
I was losing all again
I'm sick of losing
It turns out
I ain't the right one
Cause every dreams got to end

Track Name: Fell Into Footsteps
I don't believe you when you tell me I'm strong
How am I supposed to be you
When all the others just followed along
This time it starts to rip apart my soul
Dying perfected art
Accountability gone awol

This emptiness scares me
I think I'll go to war
And God I hope I don't come back
What was here ain't here no more
No one understands
What I'm going through
Cause if they really did
They'd give up too

Try to live your life
Without your legs
Each day maimed
Just trying to find a warm grate
We're all ugly
Underneath our layers of makeup
It all comes down to the fact that
We're all monkeys

Life is disgusting
How we live why we're made
When I was young and dumb
I used to think I was saved
Right mixed in with lies
Cured within our brains
Let me take the spikes
So you shall remain
All the sins and sorrows
Pain and suffering
Why so much hunger
Why so much aids

So selfish
Missed it all Lord Lord
Fell into Footsteps
Sewered the 8 ball
Of life

My addictions don't scare me
What's up really does....
It's what's really had me down

Words and music by Nathan Peebles
Track Name: Under the Sun
Go on
And use me again
It's what I was made for
It's all I am
Don't just take a piece
Take all you can
Cause when it's gone it's gone for good
And that's the end

Bye bye my love
I hope to see you someday
I know it was so long ago
Sometimes it feels like yesterday
Too bad there's no going back there
C'est la vie
As long as I know you're doing fine
And got all you need from me
I can leave

All this and more it goes away
In less than a fraction of an instant
A million thoughts within the last breath I take
Of the wasted life I'd rather not mention
Do you believe there's more than this
I wish there was cause I'm a mess
It's not fair I wasn't done
Just a hundred years under the sun

All the things I should have done
Only now do I want to
Make good use of the life that once was
But now how am I supposed to
So many times I wanted to change
Kept putting it off and now it's too late
Don't let my leaving get you down
You should have taken it all
When I was still around

Please don't get upset
It's not your fault
I've always been this way
And there's no one to blame
Always remember
Don't ever forget
To live a happy life
With no regrets and

Go on
And use me again
It's what I was made for
It's all I am
Don't just take a piece
Take all you can
Cause when it's gone it's gone for good
And that's the end

Words and music by Nathan Peebles
Track Name: One Flight Away
I'm just another body
Another guy playing cards
I just want another body
I just want another mind
And you'll see
How much better you can be
When you change
From your ways again

And the virus starts
To rip apart
My brains
With paper hearts
You don't feel much
And you don't change
A getaway can maybe save
What's left of me these days
Or am I just doomed to stay this way
I'll never know
Unless I change my ways

Red paint diesel
One flight Away
Four hours
Till freedom
This feeling
Really should
Have killed him
